Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - CES) to maintain and repair complex equipment for customers. You will work with limited supervision, traveling to job sites as needed, and provide exceptional service while ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers opportunities for growth within the Service Department and requires a strong mechanical background, tool ownership, and a commitment to customer success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance as needed.
• Assist in training lower level technicians.
• Document work performed (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment for customers.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
