Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - CES) to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision. You will work in a skilled, safe environment and may advance into leadership roles within the Service Department.

You will travel to customer sites as needed, maintain accurate work orders, and demonstrate a range of equipment to customers while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
