Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - CES). You will perform maintenance and repairs on customer owned equipment with minimal supervision in a highly skilled environment, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the Service Department goals.

The role involves traveling to customer sites, training junior technicians, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Advanced understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
