Job summary

Sysco in Missouri is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable mobility by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert repairs on our fleet. You will diagnose and fix engines, transmissions, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems while adhering to manufacturer specs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include scheduling, documenting work orders, and mentoring junior techs.

Qualifications

• Extensive fleet maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience with electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Welding and cutting experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills with OEM software.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform annual inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment per regulations.
• Conduct quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet equipment.
• Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units (Reefer) and other systems.
• Document all work on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
• May supervise when managers are unavailable.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing and diagnostics.
