Ganahl Lumber Company in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Senior Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance for a 23-vehicle fleet and 50+ forklifts supporting a 24-hour operation.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, leadership, and the ability to drive uptime, safety, and cost controls within a busy multi-department environment. Reports to the Operations Manager and offers career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Preventative maintenance planning and fleet tracking systems.
• Familiarity with heavy truck brands (International, Peterbilt, Freightliner; Isuzu a plus).
• Experience with forklift brands (Linde, Toyota, Hyster).

Responsibilities

• Manage repairs, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and fleet readiness.
• Prioritize repairs to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
• Track maintenance records, repair history, costs, and reporting.
• Coordinate vendors and oversee outside repairs when necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety, and cost control initiatives.
