Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pumping and support equipment in the Norfolk area, on site and at customer locations. The role focuses on diesel engine diagnostics and field-troubleshooting with hands-on training provided for pump systems.

You will work independently, run start-up checks, and participate in after-hours on-call support. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of diesel experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of diesel experience and/or training.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to diagnose basic mechanical problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing on Godwin fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, and pump problems.
• Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.
• Assist in setting up pumping systems at customer sites and perform start-up duties.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
• Participate in the on-call schedule to assist customers after hours.
