Job summary

DURHAM Manufacturing is seeking a Die Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of stamping dies, ensuring preventive maintenance and timely repairs. You will lead a team, coordinate with production, and drive continuous improvement to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The role requires extensive die maintenance experience, leadership, and a strong knowledge of stamping dies, tooling, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of die maintenance experience with machinist proficiency.
• Experience reading blueprints and working with engineering drawings.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience with metal stamping dies: Progressive, Cut-off, Piercing, Blanking and Forming.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours or different shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage die maintenance team; approve attendance.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans with engineering and production.
• Schedule maintenance to minimize downtime and meet production targets.
• Identify and troubleshoot die issues; implement corrective actions.
• Perform machining and fabricating on stamping dies; maintain dies and parts.
• Use precision measuring devices to verify dimensions to drawings.
• Coordinate die changeovers with production; plan overtime as needed.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and order tools/parts.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Provide training for the die maintenance team; monitor apprenticeship when applicable.
• Maintain records and generate maintenance performance reports.
• Identify process improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs.
