Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a current RDMS and any vascular subspecialty certification as required.
• BLS certification is required by the institution and accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and positions for ultrasound exam; explains procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Obtains imaging and reports for correlation; consults with referring physician as needed.
• Sets up equipment and adjusts settings for accurate results using clinical judgment.
• Recognizes structures and differentiates artifacts from pathology; determines need for further evaluation.
• Monitors patient during exam; reports any condition changes promptly.
• Documents images and maintains exam logs; performs minor repairs and calibration checks.
• Performs related duties as required; adheres to ADA-related essential functions.
