Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Nevada is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II, PRN, to perform diverse ultrasound studies for adults and pediatrics. You will work with a skilled team in the CC Nevada Imaging department and contribute to patient care, education, and continuous learning.

Qualified applicants have ARDMS RDMS credentials (OB/GYN preferred), BLS, and at least two years of sonography experience; maternal–fetal medicine training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Two years of recent modality experience.
• BLS certification through AHA/Red Cross.
• Pediatric sonography specialization.
• RDMS within OB/GYN within one year of hire.
• Certification in OB/GYN (RDMS) within one year of hire; other ARDMS/ARRT certs required within 18 months.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine training is preferred.
• RDMS in OB/GYN/Abdominal or Vascular within hire.
• Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge and ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sonographic imaging for patients of all ages.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS; complete after-hours transmissions.
• Consult with referring physicians on patient history and exam selection.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritize daily ultrasound patients.
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment; obtain informed consent when required.
• Rotate through imaging modalities and sites as needed within the Imaging Institute.
• Support clinical instruction of ultrasound students and residents.
