Job summary

Champs Family Automotive in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Automotive Technician. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles and diagnosing CAN network and electrical issues.

The shop offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and a strong emphasis on quality workmanship. You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment (Autel, Bosch, IDS, Snap-on) and collaborate with a skilled team in a 16-bay facility.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional automotive repair experience (required).
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting experience across a wide range of vehicles.
Experience with electrical and drivability diagnostics.
Ability to diagnose CAN networks and vehicle communication issues.
Comfort with complex mechanical repairs on gas, light-duty diesel, and older vehicles.
Dealership or independent shop experience.
Owner of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles across many makes/models.
Perform advanced electrical, drivability, and vehicle communication diagnostics.
Troubleshoot CAN network issues and identify root causes.
Complete complex mechanical repairs on gas and light-duty diesel vehicles.
Work with light-duty trucks, fleet vehicles, older vehicles, and RVs.
Utilize Autel, Bosch, IDS, Snap-on, and other diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with technicians to solve diagnostic and repair challenges.
Maintain high repair quality and workmanship.
