Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale developer infrastructure, focusing on monorepo builds with Bazel and a remote build cluster. You will enhance CI pipelines, onboarding, and remote development environments to accelerate engineering workflows.

The role is based in NYC or Menlo Park with in-person attendance; flexibility and equity opportunities accompany a market-based salary.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining developer infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or large-scale build systems (such as Bazel).
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code in Go or Python.
• Experience with distributed or remote build execution systems, and containerization/orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong problem solving and a focus on improving developer productivity and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize monorepo builds using Bazel and own the remote build execution cluster for fast, stable builds.
• Scale CI pipelines to support thousands of daily builds, including GitHub configurations and test executions.
• Improve developer onboarding and reduce time-to-first-commit for new engineers.
• Provide and maintain remote development environments to accelerate local workflows.
