Job summary

Tatari is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Internal Tools & Automation to lead developer experience and AI tooling across engineering. You will own the strategy and hands-on execution for AI coding assistants, internal agents, and faster edit-build-test-deploy loops, working with a small team across application engineering, data science, and analytics.

You will design EPH environments, measure impact with DORA-like metrics, and push adoption while contributing to reliability and core

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure, platform, or developer tooling roles (AWS preferred); for Staff level, driving tooling across multiple teams
• Daily, hands-on use of AI coding assistants in your workflow
• Experience building with LLM APIs and agentic workflows
• Experience owning or significantly improving CI/CD systems, build/test infrastructure, or developer environments
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred)
• Empathy for the frustrations and toil that slow engineering teams down

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for developer experience and AI tooling across Tatari engineering
• Evaluate, deploy, and drive adoption of AI coding assistants and agentic development tools
• Design and build internal AI-powered agents and automations for engineering workflows
• Identify and eliminate friction in the development inner loop: CI/CD speed, build/test infra, local dev environments
• Design and implement on-demand, production-like EPH environments across microservices
• Define productivity metrics and use them to prioritize leverage
• Partner with application engineers, data scientists, and analytics teams to implement improvements
• Participate in technical architecture discussions
