Job summary

VTG is seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps / Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical systems in a secure government environment. The role emphasizes Linux administration, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and automation via IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI with Poly, 8+ years of relevant experience, and a strong background in deploying complex systems across on-prem, virtualized, and hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Eight years of experience deploying software and systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Experience with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize containerized apps and infra with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Manage and administer Kubernetes clusters for high availability and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Automate provisioning and config with IaC (Ansible, Terraform).
• Support deployments across on-prem, virtualized, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Apply DevSecOps practices across the software lifecycle.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of systems and networks.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve deployment automation and integration.
• Configure and maintain Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS).
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash).
• Support installations, testing, deployment, and maintenance across environments.
