Nalley Consulting is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer in Washington, DC. The role focuses on designing, building, hardening, and operating CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, and container platforms to support the software life cycle from code commit to production deployment.

The ideal candidate will bridge database engineering, API development, and secure platform architecture, turning concepts into reusable templates and patterns for multiple technologies, with a hands-on senior mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevSecOps or related roles.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud infrastructure deployment using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Containerizing and orchestrating workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrating automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Git-based branching, tagging, and release workflows.
• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, TLS).
• Security-focused deployments and knowledge of RMF/NIST/DoD standards.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willing to take polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, harden, and operate CI/CD systems and cloud infra.
• Embed security controls and automate delivery workflows across projects.
• Support databases and secure platform architecture with scalable templates.
• Partner with platform teams to convert MVPs into reusable patterns.
• Ensure DoD/IC compliance requirements are met in deployments.
