Job summary

M9 Solutions seeks a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer II to join our on-site team supporting a government contract in Reston, VA. The role requires active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and hands-on expertise across CI/CD, IaC, and secure cloud architectures.

You will design and implement automated pipelines, enforce STIG compliance, guide junior engineers, and coordinate with customers and stakeholders across classified environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 7+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role with focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
• Expert experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud).
• Strong scripting experience (Python, Bash) in a Linux environment (RHEL/Oracle Linux).
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and implement automated solutions across multiple classification environments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines from scratch in GitLab CI and Jenkins with integrated security scanning and STIG validation.
• Create and maintain CloudFormation-based IaC templates to architect secure DevSecOps infrastructure across AWS environments (GovCloud, C2S, TC2S).
• Lead advanced troubleshooting by analyzing logs, performing root-cause analysis, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert security guidance on secure coding, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support.
• Architect and build secure containerized solutions with Docker/OpenShift, remediate Prisma findings, and guide deployments.
• Perform code reviews and maintain technical documentation to promote best practices.
