Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure scalable systems across development, testing, and production environments. You will lead security infrastructure projects, mentor engineers, and drive secure DevOps practices with a focus on RMF, STIGs, and cloud security.

The role requires active U.S. citizenship, a Secret clearance (TS preferred), and hands-on experience in security operations, vulnerability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4 years of information security-related experience.
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, ACAS, HBSS, or related technologies.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance (TS/SCI) preferred when available.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure automation for dev, test, and prod environments.
• Manage and maintain infrastructure security and monitoring systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities and security issues.
• Collaborate to improve engineering tools, systems, and data security.
• Create and maintain security documentation.
• Stay current with security trends and threats.
• Support incident response and problem management.
