Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain secure containerized systems in airgapped DoD/IC environments. You will build and optimize production CI/CD pipelines, define Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform, and ensure security and reliability across the delivery stack.

The role includes mentoring active-duty personnel, supporting DoD programs, and exploring AI-enabled capabilities within classified constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT, systems, or software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps and building/operating production CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years administering Kubernetes clusters in production with lifecycle management and day2 operations.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform; Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu); scripting in Python/Bash.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience in regulated environments such as DoD/IC, cybersecurity processes, airgapped constraints.
• Experience with basic AI prototyping, e.g., LLM APIs, RAG workflows, AI tooling usage.
• TS/SCI clearance; HS diploma or GED; DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot containerized systems in air-gapped environments.
• Develop and optimize production CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Embed security, observability, and reliability into the delivery stack.
• Mentor military personnel and government civilians, lead labs and technical exchanges.
• Prototype and evaluate AI-enabled capabilities within classified constraints.
• Operate at the intersection of Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and automation.
