Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps to join the P-8A Acoustic Programs team in Huntington Beach, California. You will bridge development, security, and operations to ensure secure, efficient CI/CD pipelines and IaC-driven infrastructure within a defense context.

Responsibilities include implementing security controls early in SDLC, automating patching and compliance, and maintaining container orchestration with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance post-start.
• 5+ years of cloud DevSecOps experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for secure software delivery.
• Integrate security tools and practices within the development lifecycle (SAST/DAST, scanners).
• Collaborate with dev teams to embed security controls early in SDLC (shift-left).
• Automate patch management, configuration, and compliance to improve security posture.
• Maintain, configure, and upgrade DevSecOps environments with IaC tools (Ansible).
• Implement container security and manage orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Respond to security incidents in pipelines and cloud infra; perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop monitoring and logging to detect security events and issues.
• Document DevSecOps processes and best practices for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on security and DevOps trends and technologies.
