Job summary

Tagup seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, secure, and scale AI-enabled platforms in defense contexts. You will own infrastructure security across AWS and Kubernetes, manage ATO processes, and implement IaC with Terraform.

You’ll perform vulnerability assessments, lead incident response, and embed security throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring compliance with NIST, SOC2, and CMMC while delivering reliable, mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure or security engineering roles.
• Proven experience with ATO approvals (IL5+ or higher).
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure security, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with SOC2, NIST, CMMC frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and secure infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native systems.
• Own ATO processes and compliance frameworks (IL5+, NIST, SOC2, CMMC).
• Design infrastructure as code with Terraform and other modern tooling.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security into the development lifecycle.
• Stay ahead of security trends and continuously improve defenses.
