Job summary

First Citizens in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a senior DevOps/Platform Engineering professional for a fully remote role limited to NC, TX, AZ, GA. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure with Terraform/Ansible, and secure the software delivery lifecycle across OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

Collaboration with security, QA, and IT teams is essential. You will automate deployments, monitor applications, and drive reliability with strong scripting in Python and Bash.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of software dev & maintenance experience or equivalent
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain CICD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment
• Manage infrastructure on cloud platforms using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Automate manual processes with scripts to improve efficiency
• Monitor, log, and alert systems; perform root-cause analysis of production issues
• Apply security best practices in the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with multiple teams to streamline delivery
• Containerize and orchestrate with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Contribute to system enhancements and accuracy of documentation
• Analyze requests, estimate scope, and assess system impact
• Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotation basis
