Job summary

Takt, based in Reston, VA, is seeking a senior DevSecOps engineer to own infrastructure, security posture, and developer experience across a 24/7 platform that serves major clients.

You will manage Terraform, GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and compliance programs (SOC 2, GDPR); you’ll collaborate with CTO and Director of Engineering to raise reliability, security, and velocity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform, or security engineering.
• Hands-on Terraform managing production infrastructure as code.
• Deep Google Cloud experience: Kubernetes, networking, IAM.
• Experience with multi-region deployments and reliability planning.
• Strong CI/CD experience, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 and GDPR; familiarity with Vanta is a plus.
• Security-minded, least privilege, secrets hygiene, and risk trade-offs.
• Ownership mindset with clear communication and good docs.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure as code and evolve Terraform configurations.
• Manage GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and IAM.
• Design multi-region deployments for 24/7 reliability.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and safe releases using GitHub Actions.
• Lead the compliance program for SOC 2 and GDPR.
• Provide tools and guardrails to the engineering team for secure deployments.
• Oversee incident management and postmortems to prevent repeats.
