Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join its Platform and Security Engineering team. You will design, automate, secure, and support cloud infrastructure in a large AWS environment, embedding security across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and security engineering. This role requires independent ownership of initiatives from design to production deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in DevSecOps/Platform/SRE roles.
• Advanced hands-on AWS production experience.
• Terraform or OpenTofu for IaC.
• Kubernetes deployment, operation, and security.
• Docker or Podman experience.
• Ansible configuration management/automation.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Python or Bash scripting.
• Infrastructure security controls (vuln mgmt, secrets, hardening).
• Logging/monitoring and least-privilege access.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and secure AWS infrastructure and platforms.
• Manage IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Support AWS networking, identity, compute, storage, Kubernetes.
• Build automation with Ansible, Python, Bash.
• Deploy and secure containerized platforms with Kubernetes/Docker.
• Create/maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliability.
• Implement cloud security across infra, containers, pipelines.
• Develop automated testing/validation for infrastructure code.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production platform issues.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews and standards.
