Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, secure, and operate cloud-native infrastructure and deployment platforms that support modern applications and ML workloads.

The role combines DevOps automation with security engineering to build scalable, secure, and reliable environments, emphasizing Zero Trust, automation, and secure-by-design principles across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on AWS and Terraform experience.
• Strong Kubernetes and Amazon EKS experience.
• Experience with ECS, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Git, Argo CD, and GitOps.
• Hands-on SSO, IAM, RBAC, and workload identity.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and cloud security principles.
• Strong AWS networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized apps with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker, Helm.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows with Git and Argo CD.
• Implement authentication and authorization with SSO, IAM, RBAC.
• Apply Zero Trust and least-privilege security principles.
• Integrate security controls into pipelines and environments.
• Implement vulnerability and container security scanning.
• Troubleshoot cloud, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, and app deployments.
• Automate infrastructure, security, and operations.
• Support monitoring, observability, and reliability.
