Job summary

Cogniify, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen security of cloud applications, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.

You will design secure cloud architectures, lead security incident investigations, and build security checks into GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, advising teams on incident response while supporting SOX and FDA regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cloud engineering, DevOps, application, compliance, and leadership teams; travel approximately 5% is

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in IT security, cloud security or infrastructure administration in an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Proven experience designing and managing security controls in cloud platforms.
• Experience investigating cyber events and securing cloud environments.
• Experience with IT systems in Agile environments and ticketing tools such as JIRA/JSM.
• Familiarity with GDPR/CPRA and privacy data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures following industry best practices, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional security initiatives aligned with business goals to reduce risk.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex security incidents and feed lessons learned into policies.
• Analyze security logs to spot patterns and build defenses against threats.
• Assess vulnerabilities and follow fixes through to closure.
• Build secure AWS and Azure environments using infrastructure-as-code patterns.
