Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead cloud-native delivery and security across DoD mission systems. You will architect, automate, and sustain hybrid cloud platforms with AKS, ECS, and OCP, ensuring compliant, scalable deployments.

You will design CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Helm/Ansible, and enforce container security and RMF/DISA STIG controls while collaborating with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of general full-time work experience
• 6+ years in DevSecOps/platform engineering
• 1+ year in a management/leadership role
• Experience designing, deploying, and sustaining Kubernetes-based platforms
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
• Strong understanding of Docker/Kubernetes containerization
• Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust security controls
• DoD 8140/IAT baseline certification (Security+ CE)
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and container platform solutions across AKS, ECS, and OCP
• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security
• Create and manage IaC and configuration automation (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
• Implement container security and compliance per DoD/MDA requirements
• Integrate hybrid cloud strategies and secure app deployments across environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Provide platform governance, documentation, and technical status updates
• Support database hosting for mission-critical services
