Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing practice in Bloomington, IL. You will deliver features for cloud and application development, focusing on building automated CI/CD, IaC, and secure release processes.

You will mentor junior team members, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into robust DevSecOps solutions across multiple cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 3+ years with Git providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• 3+ years of application DevSecOps experience in an Agile environment.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
• 3+ years implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration.
• 3+ years deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience integrating test automation in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Establish development tools and infrastructure for automation.
• Understand stakeholder needs and translate to developers.
• Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Test and examine code and analyze results.
• Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop software updates.
• Work with developers to ensure processes work as intended.
• Support enterprise Cloud applications through infrastructure as code and large deployments.
• Document as-is state, perform gap analysis, and provide options.
