Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC seeks an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to develop, operate and maintain automation pipelines across diverse environments. You will guide multiple development teams and implement secure, scalable DevSecOps practices.

The role emphasizes automation, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization, leveraging private and hybrid clouds, VMware, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform. Strong communication and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or relevant technical experience and technical certifications.
• Five years of related professional work experience preferred.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps, DevOps, or IT or Security automation supporting multiple teams.
• Knowledge of and ability to implement DevSecOps platform using private and commercial cloud best practices.
• Strong experience with the Linux OS.
• Experience with private and hybrid cloud design/operation/monitoring/deployment: VMware vCenter and ESXi, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
• Prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
• Support documentation of DevSecOps and related technologies including the creation of system and process diagrams.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute development, operation and maintenance of DevSecOps processes, tools and automation pipelines across multiple environments.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams to enable cohesive, maintainable systems.
• Ensure automation supports testing, deployment and ongoing improvements.
• Collect, process and present metrics showing automation improvements over time.
• Drive platform improvements to increase availability of development tools.
