Job summary

SciTec, a defense contractor and subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, seeks experienced Staff and Senior Staff DevSecOps engineers for on-site work in New Jersey. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, deploy to dev/test/prod, and ensure secure, scalable containerized deployments in Kubernetes ecosystems.

The role requires expertise in Docker/Kubernetes/EKS, Istio, and monitoring tools, with DoD clearance eligibility, Python/Linux experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using CI/CD.
• Strong experience designing and developing container deployment solutions with Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Istio service mesh, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test and production.
• Experience with authentication technologies such as Keycloak.
• At least one year of Python3 experience; Linux proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Physical sciences; DoD clearance ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks.
• Coordinate deployments to development, test, and production environments.
• Create and maintain CI pipelines in GitLab CI.
• Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve issues.
• Implement and maintain version promotion within CI pipelines.
• Integrate pipelines with tools for artifact management, testing, and quality assessment.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD in Kubernetes environments (Helm charts).
• Execute release processes including branch creation, checkout, and testing.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.
