Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience with 5+ years in senior DevSecOps/platform engineering/architecture role.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Eligible for U.S. Government Public Trust or Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design with GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins with Groovy.
• Experience with enterprise artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory, Nexus).
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes.
• Experience with security pipelines in regulated environments (FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, NIST 800-53).
• Leadership across AWS, Azure, GCP; multi-account envs.
• Experience with security scanning and policy gates.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal architect for the Maximus enterprise DevSecOps platform, defining reference architectures, pipeline standards, and security guardrails across commercial, federal, and GovCloud deployment targets.
• Establish and maintain the canonical CI/CD pipeline model, from source control through cloud deployment, incl. static code analysis, SAST/DAST security scans, artifact management, and policy-gated release gates.
• Provide authoritative architecture decisions for multi-environment deployment strategies on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Embed automated security controls and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines, including integration with Dependency Track, Splunk, RapidFort, and Axway MFT solutions.
• Ensure all pipeline architectures align with NIST SSDF, FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the Information Security Office on security architecture reviews, risk acceptance decisions, and continuous compliance monitoring.
• Champion "security left" practices across the Maximus developer community (300+ DevSecOps practitioners).
