Job summary

VGS is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps) to own our cloud platform, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platforms. You will help build, scale, and fortify global cloud infrastructure for mission-critical payments with zero downtime.

Beyond hands-on engineering, you will drive automation, establish golden paths, and advocate for security and reliability across the SDLC. You will mentor peers and contribute to a high-velocity, resilient platform culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
• Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) experience.
• CI/CD pipelines design, improvement, and security.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash for tooling and automation.
• Observability and monitoring with modern stacks (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry).
• Growth mindset with high agency and portability across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-availability AWS infrastructure.
• Own modern CI/CD pipelines and self-service platforms for fast shipping.
• Lead GitOps automation and environment templating for reliability.
• Maintain telemetry tooling and participate in on-call rotations.
• Embed security guardrails and compliance into deployment workflows.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on SRE, DevOps, and cloud practices.
