Job summary

Five9 is seeking a Network Engineer for a fully remote/ hybrid-capable role in a 24/7 SaaS environment, responsible for scalable CI/CD pipelines, network automation, and secure, multi-region fabrics. You will design and implement Network-as-Code, champion GitOps, and drive automated validation for security and performance across complex networks.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with focus on large-scale automation.
Expert-level proficiency with network automation tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
Deep design/operational expertise with SDN/overlay networks (VXLAN, OVN, Calico).
Advanced Kubernetes networking (CNIs, Ingress, Service Mesh) at enterprise scale.
Experience with edge, routing, and security fabrics including Cisco/Nexus, Arista, Versa SD-WAN, Palo Alto, Fortinet.

Responsibilities

Partner with Enterprise Designers, SRE leads, and Platform teams to build resilient, secure network infra.
Define IaC standards and review code across CI/CD pipelines.
Lead deployment and optimization of overlay networking solutions (VXLAN, OVN, Calico).
Design automation of security and traffic policies across firewalls and load balancers.
Embed Security-as-Code into CI/CD and validate networks before production.
