Job summary

AccuWeather is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of DevOps to lead a small team responsible for infrastructure, automation, deployment, reliability, and operational capabilities across consumer, enterprise, API, and internal platforms.

The role blends people leadership with deep technical involvement, guiding priorities and ensuring cross-functional collaboration with Software Engineering, Product, Security, and other teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing technical employees.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and CDNs (Akamai/Cloudflare).
• Experience with incident management, monitoring, alerting, root-cause analysis, disaster recovery, and production reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and support a team of engineers including performance management, goal setting, career development, hiring, and resource planning.
• Define and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with Technology and Business priorities.
• Drive adoption of AI across DevOps to boost productivity, delivery, and observability.
• Identify and implement AI and intelligent automation to improve speed, quality, or efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, IaC, deployment automation, and production operations.
• Ensure platforms are highly available, scalable, secure, maintainable, and recoverable.
• Improve SDLC by reducing manual processes, improving deployment safety, and enabling developer self-service.
