Job summary

Tomorrow.io in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to power the reliability, security, and efficiency of the weather platform. You will work across cloud-native Kubernetes services and HPC clusters, building AI-enabled tools and self-service platforms for scientists and developers.

You will collaborate with weather scientists and engineers, evolve infrastructure for scale, and participate in on-call leadership to maintain production availability.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in Platform/DevOps/SRE in a containerized cloud environment.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and IaC such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, CI/CD methods, and monitoring stacks (Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Node.js, and Go; excellent collaboration across distributed teams.
• Daily use of AI coding agents is highly desirable; experience building agentic DevOps workflows is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in fast-growing cloud-native startups and own critical services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adopt AI-powered tools to improve DevOps efficiency.
• Collaborate with weather scientists and engineers to optimize service performance and cost.
• Evolve and maintain adaptive cloud infrastructure to scale with the business.
• Build self-service platforms for scientists and developers to work independently.
• Support HPC workloads on SLURM alongside Kubernetes platforms.
• Introduce MLOps practices for GPU-based model deployment on Kubernetes.
• Maintain production availability through on-call rotations.
