Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer, Team Lead to join an innovative technology organization within the software and platform engineering industry. The DevOps Engineer, Team Lead will be responsible for building and enhancing deployment systems, enabling engineering teams to efficiently deploy and operate applications within a Kubernetes-based platform.

Qualifications

8+ years in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or similar field.
Strong Kubernetes administration, deployment and orchestration.
Experience implementing ArgoCD for Kubernetes deployments.
Background in object-oriented programming (OOP).
Experience designing and supporting deployment platforms and CI/CD workflows.
Ability to create standardized deployment frameworks and developer enablement solutions.
Experience with internally developed services and platform tooling.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance deployment systems supporting cloud-native applications and platform services.
Design and implement Kubernetes deployment strategies utilizing ArgoCD and internal deployment tools.
Create and maintain golden paths that streamline application deployment and operational best practices for engineering teams.
Collaborate with software engineers and platform teams to improve developer experience and deployment reliability.
Build, maintain, and optimize internally developed services that support platform operations.
Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
