Job summary

Sunayu, LLC in Bethesda, MD seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead a DevOps team responsible for a full-stack containerized microservices architecture, including Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka. You will drive CI/CD processes and collaborate across systems engineering, architecture, development, security, and operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, CS, Systems Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain Polygraph.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, CISSP or Associate).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD components and code quality/reports.
• Agile product ownership or similar role with backlog prioritization.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps team in design, deployment, and maintenance of containerized microservices.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps scripts for rapid, resilient deployments.
• Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and architecture teams.
• Own Agile backlog and align work with business priorities; manage PI planning.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and monitor sprint progress.
• Communicate priorities and progress to stakeholders; resolve risks.
