Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer on a large ICAM-focused program. The role emphasizes building robust systems using cloud capabilities and DevOps practices. You will contribute across the SDLC, including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.

The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a Master's degree with 15+ years of experience, and expert knowledge of Linux, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. On-call rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; 15+ years of experience; additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Expert in Linux OS and in DevOps tools and practices.
• Strong SDLC experience delivering in DevOps environments and Agile.
• Experience with AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc.).
• Containerization expertise (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/ECS); CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Experience with Nexus administration; proficient in JIRA/Confluence; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines across the software lifecycle.
• Develop and operate containerized applications in AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
• Maintain on-call rotation to ensure mission-critical services are available 24/7/365.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to estimate scope, architecture, and deliverables.
• Utilize testing tools (e.g., JUnit) and performance testing in DevOps practices.
• Document processes and assist in security and compliance activities.
