Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a DevOps Engineer (Tier 3) to support a government contract in the National Capital Region. You will develop, test, and maintain custom software across Windows and Linux environments, with strong emphasis on automation, code quality, and system documentation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience, or Master's with 6+ years. May have 12+ years in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated custom development experience using Linux-based servers and appliances.
• 3+ years of Rust and/or Python development to create applications/services; Rust strongly preferred.
• Experience with automation tools using Ansible.
• Experience building with Docker containers.
• Experience maintaining custom application code bases.
• Strong written/verbal communications and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify custom applications and scripts across multiple platforms.
• Maintain and support custom software applications and services.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing software solutions.
• Maintain system architecture for versatility and consistency across platforms.
• Provide input to configuration, documentation, and roadmaps; update software as required.
• Attend meetings and reviews and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program manager, customer teams, and partners.
