Job summary

Kudu Dynamics, a Leidos-owned company, seeks a senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and automate complex infrastructure across production environments. You will build release pipelines, automate deployments, and configure platforms using Puppet, Ansible, Confluence, and Jira, ensuring secure, scalable operations.

The role requires deep Linux/Windows administration, experience with Jenkins/Docker/Kubernetes, and strong scripting in a fast-paced Agile AWS/PaaS setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Git and version-control best practices including branching/merging.
• Strong Linux (RHEL 6/7/8) and Windows admin knowledge.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Knowledge of caching (Memcache, Redis, ActiveMQ, APC), MySQL (replication, tuning), Elasticsearch.
• Familiar with security practices, networking, firewalls, and PCI compliance.
• 5+ years in Agile environments and 5+ years managing AWS cloud or PaaS environments.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Support the development lifecycle from design to deployment and debugging.
• Build and maintain a release pipeline for secure, rapid production delivery.
• Automate deployments across environments using scripting and toolkits.
• Configure sites/applications via Puppet and Ansible; maintain Confluence/Jira.
• Assist in designing and maintaining web service infrastructure and deployments.
• Identify and implement process improvements through automation.
