Job summary

Chromatic is seeking a fully remote DevOps Engineer in the mainland US or Canada to secure, stabilize, and architect scalable AWS infrastructure for millions of browser sessions daily.

You will own security posture, IAM, secrets management, and incident response, while embedding security into CI/CD tooling, Terraform configurations, and deployment pipelines across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years deploying and operating containerized apps in AWS.
• 5+ years using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Knowledge of networking basics: firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC, and zero-trust networks.
• Experience with cloud security standards: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, audit logging, and vulnerability triage.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (CircleCI, GitHub Actions), Docker, and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve security posture (access controls, secrets management, audit logging).
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in AWS using Terraform.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure security is built into tooling and CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
