Job summary

AdVision Development is seeking a dedicated DevOps / Platform Engineer to own and scale our cloud infrastructure on AWS, from a greenfield setup to secure, automated operations. You will enable our developers with reliable pipelines, automated updates, and proactive monitoring.

You will design security controls, implement IaC with Terraform or Pulumi, and drive continuous improvement through blameless post-mortems and robust CI/CD practices. Remote role within the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, VPC, IAM).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Responsibilities

• Own, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Design and implement an infrastructure security strategy, including vulnerability scanning and access controls.
• Establish and automate system update and software patching processes.
• Develop a monitoring, logging, and alerting system to proactively identify and address issues.
• Lead incident response and conduct blameless post-mortems to drive improvements.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve the development lifecycle.
