Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. seeks a DevOps Engineer to support a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices within a modernized operational system.

This role focuses on automating infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure, compliant operations in a cloud-based environment. You will work in a collaborative SCIF setting to enable CI/CD of mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Current Security+CE certificate.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC (Terraform, Ansible) to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
• Create scripts using Python to streamline operations.
• Manage and harden RHEL systems and ensure security compliance.
• Install, configure, and optimize Kubernetes, Docker Compose, and container orchestration.
• Support data flow tools like NiFi and integrate with cloud logging/monitoring solutions.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Administer AWS environments for performance and reliability.
• Implement monitoring and metrics collection for health/performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in a distributed microservices environment.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams for seamless delivery of services.
