Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a DevOps Engineer 4 to deliver a reliable, highly available platform orchestrating microservices in a modernized operational system. The role emphasizes infrastructure automation, platform operations, cloud services, CI/CD, and system reliability in an on-site SCIF environment.

You will develop Infrastructure as Code, patch and harden RHEL, configure Kubernetes and NiFi, manage AWS, and oversee GitLab CI/CD with Argo CD, collaborating with security and development teams to

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, plus CI Polygraph within last 7 years.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of professional experience, or 10+ years with related Master's.
• Security+ CE certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and scripting.
• Ability to work primarily on-site in a SCIF environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Infrastructure as Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
• Patch, harden, and maintain compliance of RHEL systems.
• Install, configure, and performance tune Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native tooling.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment using GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Manage AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Perform work primarily on-site, with little to no work from home, in a SCIF.
