Job summary

Momentumcareers is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer 1 to support development and deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions in a mission-driven environment.

The role involves design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications for large-scale compute and data analytics platforms, with emphasis on modern programming languages, containerization, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of software development or cloud engineering experience.
• Experience/qualifying abilities include: requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based software.
• Develop scalable capabilities for enterprise compute and data analytics platforms.
• Participate in Agile software development: sprint planning, backlogs, reviews, testing, demos.
• Translate requirements into functional software solutions.
• Develop and maintain software using modern languages and dev practices.
• Support software installation, evaluation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain applications on Linux-based environments.
• Assist integrating apps with cloud services, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Support containerized app development and deployment.
• Participate in automated build, test, integration, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot across development and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain technical docs for software development and deployment.
• Collaborate with software, cloud, systems, and test engineers.
• Apply secure DevOps practices across the lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of development, automation, and deployment processes.
