Job summary

Allia Health Group is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale and secure its cloud infrastructure. You will report to the Principal Cloud & Security Ops Engineer and focus on automation, observability, and resilience across production systems.

You will ensure high availability, performance, and security of services while mentoring engineers and promoting modern DevOps practices. This role offers remote work in Portugal with timezone overlap for US CST.

Qualifications

4–7 years in DevOps, InfraOps, or cloud engineering roles.
Strong experience with Google Cloud; AWS/Azure acceptable.
Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
Proficient with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalents).
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Background in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Networking fundamentals, load balancing, and secure configurations.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
Build and maintain infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Oversee containerized environments with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
Implement observability tools for monitoring, alerting, and logging.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost.
Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps practices across the stack.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
