Job summary

Science is a clinical stage, vertically integrated technology company focused on neuroscience challenges, seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the full technical stack from hardware to automation. You will design IaC, manage Kubernetes and Ceph, and implement CI/CD, security, and monitoring to support research and production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps or equivalent engineering roles.
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure for healthcare-relevant or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to build robust tooling.
• Experience with on-prem and hybrid cloud environments and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Docker) for on-prem and ~20% cloud.
• Build and manage core infrastructure: Kubernetes clusters, Ceph storage, physical servers, and networking.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and logging/monitoring systems.
• Implement security best practices across all infrastructure layers (access controls, data protection, audit).
• Translate regulatory requirements into robust technical implementations.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists across the company to power research, development, and production operations.
