Job summary

Captivation Software in Maryland is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• ~14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with an emphasis on performance optimizations.
• Security clearance: Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government clearance with a favorable Polygraph; U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications.
• Drive consistency for deployment and build processes.
• Utilize modern tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux.
• Work with teams on large projects; familiarity with AWS and scripting languages like Bash, Ruby, Python.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Set up a CI/CD pipeline.
• Understand Agile DevOps practices and collaborate with mid-to-large teams.
• Translate customer needs into production-ready code and infrastructure.
