Franklin Fitch in New York City is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own a hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud and a large IoT estate tied to a loyalty and marketing platform.

You’ll lead design, build and operation across AWS and on‑prem environments, improve deployment tooling, enhance observability, and mentor engineers. This role focuses on secure device‑to‑cloud connectivity and scalable, resilient systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, SRE or DevOps, with a strong Linux sysadmin foundation.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge: Docker, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs
• Solid background in monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Python for building infrastructure tooling
• Hands-on expertise across a range of AWS services
• Proven ability to manage and secure hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CDK or similar
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Own, design, build and maintain infrastructure across cloud-based and on-premise IoT environments, ensuring reliability, security and scalability
• Develop tooling to improve the deployment, management and monitoring of customer premise equipment, IoT devices and backend systems
• Drive system architecture and modernisation projects from design through to production operations
• Enhance observability across infrastructure and devices, using both custom tooling and off-the-shelf offerings
• Implement secure connectivity for resilient device-to-cloud communication
• Mentor teammates and set the bar on infrastructure engineering practice
