Job summary

The ECI Group’s Gulf Coast Professional Services Network seeks a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical global derivatives trading systems within Shell's Trading & Supply organization. This hands-on role focuses on production stability, exchange connectivity, incident resolution, and improving performance of front-office trading apps.

Houston-based contract for ~8 weeks starting Nov 9, 2026.

Qualifications

8+ years in commodity trading, capital markets, or investment banking tech environments.
Extensive experience supporting front-office trading apps and production environments.
Strong FIX protocol engineering experience, including exchange connectivity and vendor certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain stability, availability, and performance of global derivatives trading apps.
Provide rapid incident response and troubleshooting for production trading systems.
Support front-office trading workflows: order capture, execution, allocation, settlement.
Collaborate with traders, developers, and infra teams to resolve production issues.
Participate in global on-call rotation to support trading operations.
