Job summary

Next Gen Software Solutions LLC is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer in Berkeley Heights, NJ for a long-term contract. The role focuses on enterprise Linux infrastructure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and automation across on-prem and hybrid environments.

You will implement CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC, plus manage streaming data platforms with Kafka, Flink, and Spark/Cloudera. Strong collaboration with multiple teams and a willingness to work in a 5-days onsite model is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in DevOps, Infra or Platform roles.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) administration experience.
• OpenShift and Kubernetes administration in enterprise envs.
• Experience with Ansible automation and IaC.
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, MongoDB, Spark/Cloudera.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain enterprise Linux-based infrastructure.
• Administer OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters in prod and non-prod.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment workflows.
• Implement security, RBAC, and compliance in deployment processes.
• Support data streaming platforms like Kafka/Flink/Spark.
