Job summary

EKN Engineering, based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, deploy, and support scalable SaaS infrastructure. You will implement best practices for CI/CD, IaC, logging, monitoring, and automation, while aligning with customer and product requirements.

You will design robust cloud architectures, ensure security at scale, and drive engineering excellence across teams. This role requires hands-on expertise and a product-minded approach to enable safer, more efficient

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience, supporting production workloads on AWS.
• Strong cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Solid knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda).
• Proven experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and version control best practices.
• Understanding of cloud networking, security, and IAM.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infra, deployment, and reliability issues.
• Automation scripting experience (e.g., shell).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Influence DevOps platform architecture and provide technical leadership to developers.
• Assess risks and document deployment and infra maintenance best practices.
• Collaborate with software teams to implement cloud-based solutions.
• Drive secure, cost-aware, high-quality implementations.
• Participate in full software lifecycle for cloud solutions: plan, define, build, test.
• Evaluate new tech, tools, and platforms to improve reliability and scalability.
• Respond to outages, performance issues, and pipeline failures; on-call rotation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team goals.
